Terms of Service

Last updated:

The short version

  • Your church owns its sermons, audio, notes and transcripts. We use them only to run the service for you.
  • AI translation is helpful but can be wrong. Don't rely on it for emergencies, medical, legal or safety information.
  • You're responsible for having the rights to what you stream, including music licenses.
  • Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page.

1. This agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between Waymark ("we", "us") and the church or organization that creates a Voz-Translate account ("you", "your church"). By creating an account or using Voz-Translate (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you create the account for a church or other organization, you confirm that you're authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf. Account holders must be at least 18 years old.

People who only listen to a service ("Listeners") don't need an account. Section 7 applies to them.

2. The Service

Voz-Translate streams your church's live audio, human interpreters and AI translation to listeners' phones through a link or QR code. It includes the admin console, the sound-booth and interpreter pages, the Control Room, reports and, if you turn them on, transcripts.

We may improve, change or remove features over time. If we remove a feature you pay for, we'll tell you ahead of time and, where it's fair, adjust your price.

3. Accounts, team members and links

You sign in with a link we email you. Keep access to that email account secure.

  • You choose who joins your team and what role each person has. You're responsible for what your team members do in the Service.
  • Sound-booth and interpreter links work like keys: anyone who has one can broadcast to your listeners. Share them only with people you trust, and replace a link from Team & links if it leaks.
  • Tell us right away if you think someone is using your account without permission.

4. Your content

"Your Content" means everything your church puts into the Service: live audio, interpreters' audio, glossaries, sermon notes, messages to listeners, logos, and the translations and transcripts made from them. Your church keeps all its rights to Your Content.

You give us permission to host, stream, transcribe, translate, synthesize into speech, store and display Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you, to keep it secure, and to fix problems. This permission ends when Your Content is deleted, except for copies that remain for a limited time in backups.

We don't sell Your Content, and we don't use it to train AI models. Section 2 of our Privacy Policy explains how our service providers handle it.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree that:

  • you have the rights needed to stream what you broadcast. Streaming worship music usually needs a license, such as a streaming license from CCLI or a similar organization. Getting it is your church's responsibility;
  • you'll let the people who speak in your services know that their words may be interpreted, translated by AI and, if you turn transcripts on, saved. Use Privacy mode for sensitive moments such as prayer requests, testimonies or altar calls;
  • you'll follow the laws that apply to your church, including laws on recording and privacy;
  • you'll keep your account information, such as your email and billing details, accurate.

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or harmful to others;
  • try to break, overload or get around the Service's security or limits, or access accounts that aren't yours;
  • copy, resell or rebrand the Service, or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows;
  • use the Service to record or monitor people without the notice or consent the law requires.

6. AI translation

AI voice and AI captions are produced by computers. They can mishear words, mistranslate, leave things out, lag behind the speaker or stop. Names, accents, background noise and poor audio make mistakes more likely. Bible references are matched with the public-domain Reina-Valera 1909 text and may not match the version your preacher reads.

Moderators can fix or remove AI lines in the Control Room, but they won't catch everything. For moments where accuracy really matters, use a human interpreter.

Don't use the Service, and especially its AI translation, as the only way to give emergency, evacuation, medical, legal or safety instructions.

7. Listeners

Listening is free and needs no account. Each church decides what it streams, in which languages, and whether an event needs a PIN. The church, not Waymark, is responsible for its content.

Please don't record, rebroadcast or publish a church's stream without that church's permission, and don't interfere with other people's listening.

8. Plans, trials and billing

  • Prices: our plans, AI packs and usage prices are listed on our pricing page and in your Billing page. Prices don't include taxes, which are added where they apply unless your church gives us proof of tax exemption.
  • Free trial: new churches get a 14-day trial with no card needed. Trials are never charged. When a trial ends, your church moves to the free Prueba plan unless you've chosen a paid plan.
  • Renewal: paid plans and AI packs renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
  • Usage charges: listeners above your plan's limit ("overflow") and AI hours beyond your pack are charged after the month they happen, on your next invoice, at the prices shown in the Service. If a month's overflow would cost more than the next plan up, we charge that plan's price for the month instead. You can turn overflow off; listeners past your limit then see a "full" message.
  • Payment: we accept card payments only, processed by Stripe.
  • Late or failed payments: if a payment fails and isn't fixed after we notify you, we may move your church to the free plan or suspend paid features until it's paid.
  • Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email. A new price applies from your next renewal after the notice.
  • Cancelling: you can cancel anytime from the Billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Usage charges already incurred are still due. We don't refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.

9. Availability and support

We work hard to keep the Service running during your services, but it depends on internet connections, phones, browsers and outside providers that can fail. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may briefly pause it for maintenance, and we'll try to avoid weekend service times when we do.

For help, write to hola@voz-translate.com.

10. Service providers

The Service relies on other companies for hosting, live audio, speech recognition, translation, AI voices, payments and email. They're listed in our Privacy Policy. We choose them carefully, but we aren't responsible for their outages.

11. Suspension and ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time by writing to us.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, doesn't pay, or puts the Service or other people at risk. When we can, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

After an account closes, you can ask us within 30 days for a copy of your church's reports and any transcripts that still exist. After that we delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Sections 4 (the end of our permission), 6, and 12 to 17 continue after this agreement ends.

12. Our property

The Service, including its software, design, and the Waymark and Voz-Translate names and logos, belongs to Waymark. These Terms give you the right to use the Service while your account is active; they don't transfer ownership.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

13. Disclaimers

Except as these Terms say otherwise, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither Waymark nor your church is liable to the other for lost profits, lost data, or indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages.

To the extent the law allows, Waymark's total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to the amount your church paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if that amount is smaller.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

15. Claims about your content

If someone makes a claim against Waymark because of Your Content, or because your church broke the law or these Terms (for example, by streaming music without a license), your church will defend Waymark and cover the resulting costs, to the extent the law allows.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For a material change, we'll email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

17. General

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Waymark is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
  • If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect.
  • Not enforcing a part of these Terms isn't a waiver of it.
  • You may not transfer this agreement without our consent. We may transfer it as part of a merger or sale of our business, and we'll tell you if we do.
  • These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between your church and Waymark about the Service.
  • If the English and Spanish versions differ, the English version controls.
